Sherrie Dunaway is a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has devoted her career to providing exceptional care to individuals facing substance use and mental health disorders. With over 30 years of experience in the field, she has developed a profound understanding of the complexities of the human mind and the intricate connections between mental health, addiction, and overall well-being.

For more than six years, Sherrie has been a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, expertly assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and substance use disorders.

She earned her Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Her educational background, combined with continuous professional development, has equipped her with a strong foundation in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions—enabling her to provide comprehensive, integrated care.

Sherrie’s approach to care is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental attitude.
